Alan Thompson, CERA's Public Information Officer will be delivering a presentation on "Radio for the Rest of Us" at 3PM on Saturday and again at 1PM on Sunday. CERA and EDCARC will staffing an information booth so attendees can learn more about using radios for Neighborhood Radio Watch or Amateur Radio.

This event is like a miniature County Fair, and a one-stop shop for everything you need to know and purchase to keep your homes, families, and animals safe, while enjoying speakers, live demonstrations, music, great food, giveaways, games for kids, local crafted beer and wine, even a Cigar Lounge with purveyors pouring Bourbon.

The event wil include a focus on insurance. Julia Juarez, the Deputy Commissioner of California's Department of Insurance is flying in from Los Angeles to deliver a keynote speech at 1 PM Saturday titled “Being Safer from Wildfires Can Increase Insurance Availability and Affordability." Julia will highlight how homeowners can get insured when they've cleared their land and hardened their houses; which insurance companies have committed to increasing the number of new homeowners' policies written in the state; which will stop or limit policy cancelations, and more.
