CERA works with community leaders and Fire Safe Councils to develop and offer community education and training programs geared towards proactive and reactive preparedness for public safety.

CERA offers a no cost radio needs assessment service to community residents. CERA has tested many brands of new and used GMRS-capable radios, antennas, power supplies, and accessories, and can help you choose what equipment and options are best for you and your budget. If people need help installing their equipment at home, unpaid volunteer assistance may be available.

CERA and the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club maintain one of the most extensive and robust Radio Repeater Networks in California, with virtually 100% coverage throughout El Dorado County.
