June 11-12 | Radio Re-Programming Event (Oak Hill/Placerville NRW)
Volunteer members of the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club (EDCARC) are preparing to reprogram all GMRS radios in the Neighborhood Radio Watch (NRW) program.
The Oak Hill and Placerville NRWs have identified 2 days in June to give everyone the opportunity to have their radios reprogrammed.
Saturday June 11, 12-2PM
Sunday June 12, 10AM-12PM
Location: North end of Walmart parking lot on Missouri Flat Rd. Look for RV with “Radio” signs on each side.
THIS PROGRAMMING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL RADIOS. You will lose connection with the Oak Hill Repeater and the Coloma/Lotus repeater without this update. Volunteers will examine your radio, may make minor repairs, update the firmware and, in some cases, exchange your radio for a newly-refurbished one. There are no charges for programming, repair and exchange services. If we offer to exchange your radio, you can keep your original battery or purchase a new one.
