7PM | Phone, Fires and Failures Presentation to MDARC
The Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club (MDARC) has invited Alan Thompson, Public Information Officer for the Community Emergency Radio Association (CERA), to discuss the unreliability of cell and internet service during disasters like wildfires or winter snowstorms. Alan will also talk about CERA's Neighborhood Radio Watch program and how we must find more resilient solutions to help ensure our communities get timely, life-saving information about fast-moving disasters.
This meeting will take place online over Zoom.
