11-11:45AM | Let’s Talk - Vital Communication During Disasters
As part of the West Slope Foundation's 6th session in their "Let's Talk" series, the Community Emergency Radio Association (CERA) will be presenting a focused talk on communications when cell and internet services are unavailable when disasters strike.
CERA previous presented at the West Slope Foundation's July 9th, 2023 workshop. Due to the importance, popularity, and success of that presentation, CERA has been invited back to deliver this session to residents who missed the talk or who have questions about using a GMRS handheld radio to access CERA's radio repeater network and how CERA's Neighborhood Radio Watch program can help the community prepare and stay informed during disaster events.
This meeting will be held at the Fireman's Hall, Pioneer Fire Protection District Station 38 located at 7060 Mt Aukum Rd in Somerset, CA.
