We will have two presentations:

1 - Elizabeth Standeven is the Director of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council's voluntary Home Assessment Program.  This includes defensible space and home hardening assessments.  The assessments are between the trained assessor and the homeowner.  Elizabeth will tell you all about the program and how you can get a trained assessor to check out your property before you get hit by a mandatory El Dorado County defensible space inspection.

2 - Tanya Harlow is Program Manager for the El Dorado County Office of Wildfire Preparedness and Resilience.  She will discuss the County's defensible space ordinance and mandatory defensible space inspections.

This year's mandatory defensible space inspection focus will include some areas within the Coloma-Lotus Fire Safe Council.

The Coloma-Lotus Fire Safe Council sphere of influence includes the communities  of Coloma, Lotus, Riverwood, Woodridge, Gold Hill, Thompson Hill Arrowbee, Tanglewood, Hidden Lake, Golden Spur and the areas on both sides of Luneman and Springvale.
